Published annually by the
Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, the 2007 Reports on Major and Capital
Campaigns in Greater Hartford, Greater New Haven and Fairfield County serve
as a measure of recently completed, current and anticipated campaign
activities. The reports are designed to provide timely information to
funders, potential funders, and to nonprofit organizations to help them
perform their work more efficiently and effectively.
The 2007 surveys together
list 85 organizations that are currently, or anticipate, conducting capital
and/or endowment campaigns. The combined goal of the 80 campaigns that have
set goals is over $980 million.
This survey attempts to
portray the scope of campaigns in our area to facilitate planning by both
grantmakers and grantseekers as they allocate limited dollars.
