Community Organizing Resources - There is a lot of buzz about the value of community organizing in and on the air. Grantcraft has several resources to help funders promote civic engagement and support lasting solutions to a community’s problems. Is Our Sector "Drowning in Paperwork?" - Drowning in Paperwork, Distracted from Purpose, is a new report form Project Streamline, a collaborative effort of organizations who are studying grant application and reporting practices.

Excise Tax News - A new report by the Council of Michigan Foundations, National Analysis of Federal Excise Tax on Capital Gains, finds that a flat rate of 1.32% for the excise tax on capital gains would be revenue neutral.
