How to Join the Council
Membership in the Council is open to
organizations and individuals whose principal function is the making of grants for charitable
purposes, including:

Community foundations or public
foundations
-
Corporate foundations or corporate
giving programs

Private foundations, including
family and independent foundations
-
Public foundations
-
Bank trust departments or trust
companies that administer charitable funds, trusts or foundations making grants for charitable
purposes

Donor-advised funds with multiple
beneficiaries at commercial institutions or community foundations
-
Individual donors* with multiple
charitable beneficiary organizations
*Eligible individuals must make
$25,000 or more in charitable donations a year.
A vital role of the Council is to
provide regular opportunities for grantmakers to meet in a comfortable and collegial atmosphere.
It is Council policy that no solicitation occur at any Council-sponsored program or meeting.
Membership support starts at $300 and
is based on the three-year average of grants made in Connecticut. To apply for membership in the
