Members of the
Connecticut Council for Philanthropy are offered various opportunities
to connect with other funders, to build grantmaking skills, and to
broaden knowledge about the issues that affect the quality of life in
our communities. The Council's work towards its mission—to promote and
support effective philanthropy for the public good in
Connecticut—benefits individual members, grantmakers, the nonprofit
community and the state as a whole. Collecting data and building
relationships among grantmakers and others who care about Connecticut as
a place to live, work and raise a family is an important part of the
Council's work. Further, as a part of the Forum of Regional Associations
of Grantmakers, the Council is able to offer its members group buying
benefits and access to a national network of individuals and
organizations whose knowledge and experiences are broadly shared.
