The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, of which the Council is a member, has teamed up with PricewaterhouseCoopers to prepare two documents:
Designed for the 990-PF foundation signer and tax preparer respectively, both documents focus on the clear and accurate completion of that form, with tips to avoid common mistakes and potentially misleading entries
Executive Director Tenure and Transition in Southern New England
A report resulting from a survey of 800 nonprofit organizations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island in regards to the changing nonprofit executive leadership in the three states.
Connecticut Giving by Town and Zip Code
Compiled in 2003, this searchable data base shows the 1997 giving by zip code and town. The data for 2002, the next time that the IRS published giving by zip code, will be available in early 2005.
High-Engagement Philanthropy: A Bridge to a More Effective Social Sector
This report, published by Venture Philanthropy Partners and Community Wealth Partners, examines the inextricable link between greater effectiveness by nonprofits and their access to capital—money to fund and grow their organizations. This report consists of a lead essay and six dialogues between high-engagement philanthropists and their investment partners (grantees) that provide a window into the ongoing give and take nature of high-engagement philanthropy, highlighting its benefits and pitfalls and depicting the push and pull inherent in and essential to authentic partnership.

The Center for Effective Philanthropy's April 2004 report which draws on surveys of thousands of nonprofit grantees to identify the key dimensions influencing grantee perceptions of large foundations.
When and How to Use External Evaluators
This publication written by Tracey Rutnik and Marty Campbell is designed for program officers fairly new to evaluation who might be called upon to advise grantees about contracting an external evaluator or to directly commission evaluations on behalf of their foundations.
