Federated Funds

Federated funds raise money for a wide range of health, human service, arts and other community needs. Many do this through workplace giving campaigns, others through direct solicitation. The funds are then distributed to member and affiliated charities. Over the years, the use of federated campaigns has been a cost-effective way of supporting community needs and the nonprofit organizations that serve them. Following is a list of federated funds located in Connecticut.

UNITED WAYS
Through a single community-wide campaign, the volunteers of the 24 Connecticut United Ways raise funds to benefit local health and human service agencies. Dollars raised in the campaign are distributed to agencies by experienced volunteers. United Ways also develop special initiatives and collaborations with other community groups to meet high priority human needs.

United Way of Connecticut
serves as the state association for Connecticut's 24 United Ways and manages the statewide help-by-telephone service, Infoline (2-1-1).
