The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy invites Connecticut State Legislators to join grantmakers for a program about Connecticut’s philanthropic community and learn how it works and what it can offer you and your constituents.

We believe there is great value for you and, ultimately, for State residents, to meet with foundation representatives and discuss ways we can work together.  We hope you will gain a clearer understanding of Connecticut’s philanthropic community.

The agenda will include:

  • Welcome and overview of Connecticut philanthropy.
  • Foundation representatives will briefly discuss a few specific examples to illustrate what foundations are doing and can do in health, early childhood and energy/environment, as well as the role of philanthropy in leveraging federal dollars.
  • Conversation on how legislators and philanthropic representatives can leverage knowledge and resources together.
