What happens to the information? The Council compiles the information,* publishes the complete list online and sends electronic copies to member grantmakers and the media.

We work to make connections with newspapers and media outlets around the state, and we feature nonprofit holiday wishes through Twitter and Facebook.

*Note: The Council may exclude specific requests or agencies that are inappropriate for the Holiday Wish List. The Council acts as a publisher and distributor of the information and so does not guarantee that Holiday Wishes will be granted.

What is the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy and why does it publish Ways to Share...A Holiday Wish List? The Council is a nonprofit membership association of organizations such as foundations and corporations that make grants. Our mission is to promote philanthropy for the public good throughout the state. Many organizations, businesses and individuals use the Holiday Wish List as a resource for their holiday charitable giving.
