About Us

Welcome to the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, a statewide association of grantmakers and the hub of philanthropy in Connecticut. As a nonprofit organization, the Council is dedicated to providing its members with the highest quality programs, resources and services, networking opportunities, and insight and news about grantmaking and philanthropy.

Our members represent a diverse range of grantmakers and include foundations with few or no staff to very large institutions, corporate giving programs and individual philanthropists. One common thread is the desire to make a difference in our communities. The majority of our members are located throughout the state, but we also welcome out-of-state grantmakers who fund in Connecticut.

Our associate members are professional philanthropic advisors - attorneys, accountants, financial and estate planners, investment advisors and CLU insurance professionals.

The Council's work benefits our members, the larger grantmaking community, the nonprofit community, and promotes and contributes to effective philanthropy for the public good in Connecticut.
