Thank you to everyone who came out for our 2023 annual conference! It was a wonderful event, with 200 conferencegoers enjoying a day of learning and connecting. From the special touches like the magical giant puppets and live music that greeted everyone to the inspiring, substantive, and engaging keynote, plenary, and roundtable conversations, there were many opportunities to make new connections and dig deep with colleagues into important topics.
This year, we brought the state's philanthropic community together to explore the theme Growing Our Impact: Shaping the Future of Connecticut Philanthropy. Our keynote featured philanthropic futurist Trista Harris, president of FutureGood, and a plenary conversation with visionary leaders in our state, including Rev. Dr. Shelley Best, CEO of the Greater Hartford Arts Council, Mendi Blue-Paca, president and CEO of Fairfield County's Community Foundation, Tiffany Donelson, president and CEO of the Connecticut Health Foundation, and Bryan Garcia, president and CEO of the Connecticut Green Bank. The program explored the tools of futurism and major trends impacting the philanthropic sector and the issues we focus on. From AI to climate resilience to equity, speakers highlighted the trends they're watching, how they're playing out in Connecticut, and how philanthropy can be future-focused to make more impact. Speakers joined in lively and engaging roundtable discussions in the afternoon. We ended the day with a wonderful reception highlighting the work of the Supporting Organizing Work-CT funder collaborative. It was a great day of learning and connection. See you in 2024!
