HARTFORD, CT -- To increase access to STEAM experiences for 800 Hartford Latinx children, the Latino Endowment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has awarded The Children’s Museum a one-year, $20,000 grant to support its “Bringing STEAM to Hartford Latinx Children & Families” program.
WEST HARTFORD, CT -- A new grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving will allow the West Hartford-based Children’s Museum to bring Hartford children more STEAM programming. Michael Werle, the museum’s executive director, said a partnership between the museum, the Hartford Public Library, the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Hartford, and Connecticut Children’s is going to help the museum expand on its offerings in the city.
WINSTED, CT -- Students at Northwestern Connecticut Community College, including local high schoolers, will be able to reap the benefits of new scientific equipment after a $35,000 grant was supplied by the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation.
NORWALK, CT -- The national food rescue organization Food Rescue U.S. based in Norwalk has received a $2,500 grant from the New Canaan Community Foundation to support the expansion of the organization’s food rescue platform and in-house technology.
