Children’s Museum Receives Grant to Bring STEAM to Hartford’s Latinx Children

HARTFORD, CT -- To increase access to STEAM experiences for 800 Hartford Latinx children, the Latino Endowment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has awarded The Children’s Museum a one-year, $20,000 grant to support its “Bringing STEAM to Hartford Latinx Children & Families” program.

New Grant Helps Children's Museum Expand Its Hartford Footprint

WEST HARTFORD, CT -- A new grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving will allow the West Hartford-based Children’s Museum to bring Hartford children more STEAM programming. Michael Werle, the museum’s executive director, said a partnership between the museum, the Hartford Public Library, the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Hartford, and Connecticut Children’s is going to help the museum expand on its offerings in the city.

Hartford Public Library Receives almost $300,000 to Reduce Digital Divide in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT -- In an effort to enable residents and businesses’ access to the internet, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is awarding a three-year, $297,925 Innovation Grant to the Hartford Public Library. This new project will support two innovative strategies to narrow the digital divide in Hartford, with a focus on Hartford’s North end.
