Major grant funding is provided by the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, SBM Charitable Foundation, the Jeffrey P. NEW CANAAN, CT -- Leonard Tow, Founder and chairman of The Tow Foundation, is one of nine recipients of the 10th class of the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy. He was named during a ceremony held last week on the 100th anniversary of the death of Carnegie, a who was known for his charitable giving, at the latter’s ancestral home in Dunfermline, Scotland.
