For member funder communications staff and those who have communications as part of their role

Communications is a creative field and we all need a group to bounce ideas off of, learn what is going on in the industry, and work together.

AGENDA

This Network meeting will focus on tools foundation and grantmaking communications professionals can use to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in their work.

We will build on the November session, including further exploration of concepts like asset-based language, respecting the agency of the communities and people we serve, and challenging traditional philanthropic power dynamics.

We will continue to explore best practices, and provide time for attendees to connect and share their own experiences.

In our ongoing efforts to develop more accountable institutions, we will continue to ground the session in a role-related self awareness that explores how our personal identities affect our work in philanthropy.

Attendance at November’s session is not a necessary prerequisite, and if you did attend last fall, feel free to bring a friend!
