Presented by the Eastern Connecticut Funder Network - For representatives of private independent and family foundations, corporate foundations and giving programs, community foundations and other public foundations and United Ways

This group provides a forum for grantmakers who are located in or funding in Eastern Connecticut to come together, exchange information about news and topics of interest in the region. Members share knowledge and best practices, hear from guest presenters, and learn about new and ongoing activities, initiatives and areas of philanthropic engagement.

In the context of emerging trends and new fiscal realities, we will explore how opportunities provided by partnerships, affiliations, acquisitions or mergers can support how nonprofits can achieve their missions. We'll discuss critical considerations for decision-making as well as implications for funders of nonprofit programs and their capacity building efforts. Anne Yurasek of Fio Partners will share her perspective as an organizational development consultant who has supported many organizations through their inflection points - whether due to consolidation or growth. Following an overview of the many options and solutions that are a natural progression in today's climate, Anne will facilitate a discussion with participants about possible implications for eastern Connecticut.
