Join Fairfield County's Community Foundation for Forward Fairfield County: A Day of Data-Driven Conversation, a day of compelling presentations & discussions about two new studies including the 2019 Fairfield County Community Wellbeing Index and research from The Fund for Women & Girls.

MORNING SESSION: 2019 Fairfield County Community Wellbeing Index
8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Our morning session will feature keynote speaker, Jacqueline Rabe Thomas of The CT Mirror, addressing the role of data in achieving community impact. We'll also host facilitated interactive conversations to explore the ways data and the 2019 Fairfield County Community Wellbeing Index, which helps us better understand the complex issues impacting the people and places of our county, can inform community impact efforts throughout the region. By focusing on the interrelationship between quality of life indicators, education, health, and economic competitiveness, we can better appreciate successes, identify challenges, and achieve cross-sector solutions. This session includes breakfast.

AFTERNOON SESSION: 2019 Research from The Fund for Women & Girls
12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
In our afternoon session, you’ll hear from keynote speaker, Ted Bunch of A Call to Men, on his internationally recognized work advancing gender equity utilizing an inclusive approach and how local organizations are responding to the needs and challenges Fairfield County women and girls face. The afternoon’s conversations will include key highlights from our newly commissioned research, Count Her In: A Status Report on Women and Girls in Fairfield County and Count Them In: A Landscape Analysis of Fairfield County Organizations Supporting Women and Girls. Attendees will leave with specific strategies and action steps to inform their work and advance all aspects of women and girls’ lives. This session includes lunch.

A limited number of scholarships for the event are available. Contact Sharon Jones for more details at: SJones@FCCFoundation.org
