Join your colleagues for this regular exchange among funders of Greater Hartford nonprofit organizations to share your knowledge and experience, learn from your funding colleagues and raise issues of concern or interest.

The discussion for this Roundtable will include an update about the Workforce Solutions Collaborative of Metro Hartford, a funders’ collaborative and network of public/private stakeholder organizations that invests in developing an educated, self-sufficient workforce with skills regional employers need to successfully compete in today’s economy. The Collaborative has a three-prong strategy to create lasting change for the region’s workers and employers: partnerships that align resources to meet employer needs and advance lower-wage workers; raising awareness of policies that contribute to a stable workforce and healthy business community; and increasing the practice among organizations that contribute to workforce development to effectively and efficiently collaborate.

Hear about its progress, challenges and achievements from your colleagues and members of the collaborative including American Savings Foundation, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. There will be ample time for grantmaker exchange and conversation.
