Winsted's American Mural Project Receives Grants

WINSTED, CT -- The American Mural Project recently received grants from the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation, and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development/Office of the Arts, for education and renovations at the project in Winsted.

Passport to Plymouth to Celebrate Town’s 225th Anniversary

PLYMOUTH, CT -- A $1,400 grant from the Betts Family Fund and the Bristol Brass General Grant Fund at Main Street Community Foundation was recently awarded to the Plymouth Historical Society to support the 16-page Passport to Plymouth.

Keeler Tavern Digitizes 7000 Historic Ridgefield Photographs

RIDGEFIELD, CT -- Over the last seven months, Terry McManus has spent dozens of hours at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center digitizing glass plate negatives that photographer Joseph Hartmann created of Ridgefield residents and the town during the early 20th century. Purchase of the digital scanner was made possible through funds raised at the 2018 Fairfield County Giving Day sponsored by Fairfield County's Community Foundation and Bank of America.
