RIDGEFIELD, CT -- Fairfield County’s Community Foundation is making sure that more underserved children have the opportunity to attend educational and culturally enriching live theatrical performances by increasing its support of The Ridgefield Playhouse’s “Arts for Everyone” Program for its 2017-2018 season. The Foundation recently presented The Playhouse with a $15,000 grant from The Barbara Benton Davis Fund to benefit ticket-outreach programs at The Playhouse.

WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The West Hartford Public Schools Gifts of Music program is hosting a concert, on Oct. 21, to benefit the continuing mission to provide private lessons to students. Gifts of Music is a collaboration between West Hartford Public Schools, the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, private donors, the Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Charitable Trust, and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
NEW HAVEN, CT -- The Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History will host “Fiesta Latina,” its 15th annual celebration of Latin American cultures, on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Fiesta Latina is sponsored by Avangrid Foundation, UNIVISION, UNIMAS Hartford, and Yale Latino Networking Group.
REDDING, CT -- In response to Connecticut's budget crisis, which has severely impacted students' access and exposure to music education and the arts, Connecticut-based nonprofits SpreadMusicNow and Band Together CT have announced a benefit concert in support of music education on November 4th. All funds raised will be matched by local philanthropists in conjunction with Fairfield County's Community Foundation.
WATERBURY, CT -- The American Savings Foundation board of directors recently announced nine grants supporting a wide range of Waterbury area programs and services totaling $156,000. This includes a $45,000 grant to the Mattatuck Museum to support the organization’s youth and family programs.
