CATALYST for the ARTS Capacity-Building Program will Allow Arts Organizations to Develop Sustainable Models in New Landscape and Promote Collaboration

MIDDLETOWN, CT -- Connecticut Humanities (CTH) has been awarded a grant in the amount of $100,000 to partner with the CT Office of the Arts (COA) to provide support for arts and cultural organizations in Connecticut.
NORWICH, CT -- The Lord Foundation has created a new Special Fund for Arts & Culture, with $100,000 dedicated to assisting nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in New London County that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition is promoting the new grant fund and has suggested possible uses for the funds. Lord said at the outset of the pandemic, the foundation donated $100,000 to the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut’s Neighbors to Neighbors Fund to help human services nonprofits provide basic needs to people in the region. The Cultural Coalition also has established the Culture SECT Economic Recovery Fund through the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut.
OXFORD, CT -- The Oxford Historical Society's Munn Schoolhouse will receive urgently needed repairs, thanks to a recent grant from The Valley Community Foundation and the Greater New Haven Community Foundation.
NEW BRITAIN, CT -- The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain is accepting grant applications with requests of up to $3,000 each from small to mid-sized arts organizations with revenue of $500,000 or less. Proposals must be received by Monday, August 24.
NEW LONDON, CT -- The Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition announced Tuesday that in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has established the CultureSECT Economic Recovery Fund at the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut. The initiative will support local arts and culture institutions, and individual artists. The Cultural Coalition will recommend awards to be made through the Community Foundation.
