Center for Latino Progress Receives $102,000 grant from Hartford Foundation to Establish “Transport Hartford Academy”

HARTFORD, CT -- In response to Greater Hartford's transportation changes, the Hartford Foundation has awarded a one-year $102,449 grant to the Center for Latino Progress to replicate and adapt a community engagement program originally introduced in Denver, Colorado. The Transport Hartford Academy will seek to deepen resident engagement and create a group of active and informed residents who will provide input into the future transportation developments in the Hartford region.

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and Berkshire United Way Present Collective Impact Seminar with John Kania

SHEFFIELD, MA -- Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and Berkshire United Way invite nonprofit, business, government and civic leaders to attend “Collaboration for Results: The Principles and Practices of Collective Impact,” a capacity-building workshop with John Kania on Thursday, November 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crissey Farm, 426 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington, MA. The seminar is open to nonprofit, business, government and civic leaders in northwest Litchfield County, Berkshire County, MA; and Columbia County and northeast Dutchess County, NY.

Newman's Own Foundation Graduates Class of 2016 Fellows

WESTPORT, CT -- Newman's Own Foundation announced the completion of its first formal class of Fellows, with six individuals graduating on June 13. As the first year-long program concludes, a new class of 12 Fellows is welcomed into the program.
