ENFIELD and MANCHESTER, CT -- Getting parents and communities engaged in purposeful play that promotes early child development is the primary goal of a three-year, $250,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to The Town of Manchester, in partnership with Enfield KITE(Key Initiatives to Education), to support Play On!.
Cox Charities Northeast, a charitable giving initiative of Cox Communications, is currently accepting applications for its 2018 Cox Charities Community Grant program for summer enrichment and after-school programming focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning. Applications will be accepted electronically until January 17, 2018.
STAMFORD, CT -- United Way of Western Connecticut (UWWC) announced today that they have invested $635,000 into early childhood, afterschool and educational enrichment programs in greater Danbury, greater New Milford and Stamford. All grant dollars are tied to program support for families living within the ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) income threshold (see household budget below). The grant funding period for these allocations is January 2017- June 2018.
