NEW LONDON, CT -- Peter Grayson Letz, a former resident of North Stonington who died on September 22, 2013, left his residuary estate, which is expected to be approximately $8 million, to the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut (CFECT) for the purposes of promoting animal welfare and protecting the environment and wildlife in New London County. It is the largest gift in CFECT’s 31-year history and will create the PETER GRAYSON LETZ FUND FOR ANIMALS AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
MIDDLETOWN, CT -- The Rockfall Foundation is currently seeking nominations for the 2019 Environmental Champion Awards. Nominations are being accepted from now until July 22, 2019.
NORWALK, CT -- The Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT) has received $20,000 in grants from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman.
MIDDLETOWN, CT -- Continuing its philanthropic tradition, The Rockfall Foundation has awarded $33,750 in grant money to ten non-profit organizations, municipalities, and schools in the Lower Connecticut River Valley.
