NEW CANAAN, CT -- With a nonprofit fund housed at the New Canaan Community Foundation, the Friends of Mead Park Playground is working toward a $200,000 fundraising goal to more than match the $190,000 that the town already has set aside for the current year’s capital budget to replace the existing main play structure at Mead.

HARTFORD, CT -- The iQuilt Partnership recently announced it had raised the minimum needed to open the Winterfest rink in Bushnell Park for free ice skating, free skate rentals and free learn to skate classes from November 24, 2017, to January 6, 2018.
EAST HARTFORD, CT -- 1,800 school students from 39 schools across Connecticut took part in HMF FitKids in School Medal Day recently — the culmination of weeks of training supported by the Hartford Marathon Foundation. Transportation, snacks and hats were provided free to the schools through the HMF FitKids in School sponsors, including the Aetna Foundation, United Bank Foundation Connecticut, Newman’s Own Foundation and Mountain Dairy, as well as individual donations from the running community.
WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The iQuilt Partnership has just two weeks left to raise enough money to open and operate Winterfest Hartford, the free outdoor skating rink in Bushnell Park, for the 2017-2018 season. TERRYVILLE, CT -- Terryville Plymouth Little League was recently awarded a $1,500 grant from the Bristol Savings Bank Fund at Main Street Community Foundation to support the repair and replacement of outfield fences at two of the fields.
