HARTFORD, CT -- The third edition of Metro Hartford Progress Points, driven by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, is the result of collaboration between nine stakeholders representing local government, businesses, nonprofits, academic and philanthropic institutions and organizations committed to making long-term progress in our region.
MERIDEN, CT — The Citizens Bank Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to the Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF) to support its Financial Counseling and Small Business Skills Training Institute. CEDF, which works to strengthen neighborhood economies by providing flexible financial and technical support, established the program in 2008 as part of its holistic approach to support Connecticut small business growth.
Connecticut’s Legislative Commission on Aging has issued “Connecticut for Livable Communities,” a new report to the state legislature which outlines more than 50 recommendations for communities looking to enhance livability.
