BRISTOL, CT -- The Bristol Technical Education Center’s (TEC) SkillsUSA Team will now have official red SkillsUSA blazers and a SkillsUSA banner with the school’s logo on it, unifying the team and building the students’ confidence. The blazers and the banner were purchased with a $1,520 grant from the Technical Education Fund at Main Street Community Foundation.
MIDDLETOWN, CT -- The WorkPath Fund is designed to assist Connecticut parents with dependent children to obtain or retain employment so they can support their families. Middlesex United Way has committed $5,000 to this fund, and other funders so far include: Liberty Bank Foundation, American Savings Foundation, Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Napier Foundation, People’s United Community Foundation, Traveler’s Foundation, United Way of Greater New Haven, and Valley Community Foundation.
HARTFORD, CT — With Governor Dannel Malloy, state legislators, and leading business people on hand, a private-public partnership will announce at a news conference on Friday, January 31, the launch of a fund aimed at helping Connecticut parents succeed in a still-difficult job market.
NEW HAVEN, CT -- A collaboration led by the CT Commission on Children, Liberty Bank Foundation, Workforce Alliance and the four other workforce investment boards in the state helped raised the initial $105,500 for the WorkPath Fund from a group of 11 nonprofit organizations, including United Way of Greater New Haven.
HARTFORD, CT – The Citizens Bank Foundation recently granted $5,000 to Dress for Success of Hartford County to support financial literacy for their Professional Women’s Group (PWG).
