HARTFORD, CT -- The philanthropic arm of Hartford health insurer Aetna on Thursday announced it will donate $500,000 to the Boys & Girls Club (BGHH) of Hartford to promote healthy living. Funding from the Aetna Foundation, an independent charitable affiliate of Rhode Island-based CVS Health Corp., will be awarded to BGHH over the next five years to ramp-up programs aimed at preventing underage substance abuse of alcohol, tobacco and vaping products and improving the overall health of youth.
DERBY, CT -- VCF has awarded a total of $23,090 in its Community Grants Program to 11 community groups serving the Valley. These grants will support youth, seniors and wellness initiatives in the region.
WOLCOTT, CT -- Wolcott Citizens Against Substance Abuse (CASA) received a $2,000 grant from the Bristol Savings Bank Fund at Main Street Community Foundation to implement a social marketing campaign on the dangers of underage drinking.
