Judging Proves Challenging as Record Number Compete in 66th Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair

HAMDEN, CT -- Twenty-two volunteer judges from across United Technologies’ businesses were on hand at the 2014 Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. UTC was presenting sponsor of the event and provided funding to support student awards, which will be presented at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in May.

Montville Students Learn Money Management at Credit for Life Fair

MONTVILLE, CT—This morning, 175 seniors at Montville High School got a taste of what it’s like to live on their own and manage their own finances at the first-ever Montville Credit for Life Fair. This half-day financial education event is presented by a collaborative of southeastern Connecticut businesses and nonprofits led by the Liberty Bank Foundation.

CL&P and Yankee Gas Award Grants to 24 FIRST Robotics High School Team

BERLIN, CT -- Twenty-four high school teams from Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) and Yankee Gas' service territories have been awarded a total of $15,500 in grants to help fund their efforts in the upcoming 2012 FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition Northeast Utilities FIRST Connecticut Regional.
