Aurora Women and Girls Foundation Appoints Two New Members to Board of Directors

WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The Aurora Women and Girls Foundation (Aurora Foundation) is pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Pennoyer and Maureen Cooper have both been appointed to the Aurora Women and Girls Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Jennifer Pennoyer runs a medical, cosmetic and laser dermatology practice in Bloomfield.  She earned her B.A. from Harvard University and her medical degree from UConn School of Medicine.  Her practice is at the forefront of comprehensive medical, cosmetic and laser dermatology with a highly selective offering of treatments.  Jennifer has been voted “Best Dermatologist” by the CTNOW Readers’ Poll and has also been named to Connecticut Magazine’s “Top Docs” list.  Jennifer resides in West Hartford. 

Maureen Cooper is the Chief Operating Officer at Fiduciary Investment Advisors, LLC in Windsor.  Maureen directs the Human Resources and Compliance Departments, and oversees all financial and operational matters of the firm. She has been an investment advisory professional for more than thirty years, including more than two decades as a Vice President – Investment Management Consultant at UBS Financial Services Inc., prior to founding FIA. In 2016, Maureen was honored by the Hartford Business Journal with the Remarkable Women in Business award for her contributions to business and the community.  Maureen resides in Portland.

Established in 2000, the Aurora Women and Girls Foundation is a standalone charitable organization focusing specifically on the support of women and girls in the Hartford region. The foundation was founded by a dynamic group of businesswomen and community leaders from the Greater Hartford region and is now one of 150 organizations throughout the United States and internationally with this focus.  The Aurora Foundation’s mission is to be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of women and girls in the Greater Hartford area.
