The Avangrid Foundation Releases Annual Report Focusing on Powering Momentum through Partnerships

Foundation invested more than $2.5M in grants, scholarships and matching gifts in 2018, impacting more than 200,000 people

ORANGE, CT -- The Avangrid Foundation, the primary philanthropic arm of a diversified clean energy company, AVANGRID, Inc., today announced the release of the Avangrid Foundation Annual Report, "Momentum in Our Communities."

The Avangrid Foundation invested more than $2.5 million in grants, scholarships and matching gift programs to more than 325 organizations across the United States in 2018, impacting more than 200,000 people directly, and many more tens of thousands indirectly. The interactive report features stories about more than 25 partnerships, including Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and Yale University.

"The work of the Avangrid Foundation over the last decade and a half is testament to the lasting partnerships we have built over time, and our focus on adapting, building, innovating and investing to create an equitable and sustainable future in local communities across the United States. These partnerships power our momentum to make a difference in local communities," wrote Avangrid Foundation Board President James P. Torgerson and Executive Director Nicole Licata Grant, in a joint letter introducing the report.

The Foundation focuses on the environment, preserving cultural and artistic heritage, advancing education and improving the lives of people, particularly in the places where AVANGRID has an operating presence.
