WEST HARTFORD, CT – blumshapiro, the largest accounting, tax and business advisory firm based in New England with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, announced today that the blumshapiro Foundation donated $55,000 to nonprofit organizations servicing families and children in 2019.
The donations were made to 25 qualified 501(c)3 family and children’s organizations throughout New England. In addition, the blumshapiro Foundation contributed approximately $25,000 towards scholarships, memorials and other employee initiatives in 2019.
“blumshapiro continues its tradition of giving that supports the greater communities in which we live and work,” said Joe Kask, blumshapiro CEO and President of the Foundation. “This year, we further expanded the Foundation’s focus on supporting children and families in need in response to our employees’ wishes. It is our way of becoming a stronger partner to our communities, our clients and each other.”

In the last four years, the blumshapiro Foundation has awarded $250,000 in scholarships, memorials and employee initiatives. In addition, the Foundation has donated $105,000 to qualified 501(c)3 organizations through its new grant-making process initiated in 2018.
