Children's Fund of Connecticut Welcomes Newly Elected Board Members

FARMINGTON, CT -- At the annual Board of Directors Meeting on September, 14, 2018, Glenn Focht and Seth Van Essendelft were elected to serve a full term (2018-2021) on the Children's Fund of Connecticut and Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut (CHDI) boards of directors.
 

Glenn Focht, President of Connecticut Children's Specialty Group

Glenn FochtGlenn Focht, MD serves as President of Connecticut Children's Specialty Group. Dr. Focht brings close to 20 years of experience as a physician and health care clinician and administrator. He came to Connecticut Children's from Boston Children's Hospital where he was the Chief Medical Officer for the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's. During his time in Boston, he played a pivotal role in creating an integrated behavioral health program and helped grow the hospital's primary care network. Focht is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, and completed his residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and liberalarts from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania.

 

 

Seth Van Essendelft, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Connecticut Children's

Seth Van EssendelftSeth Van Essendelft serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Connecticut Children's. He has nearly 20 years of experience in financial services specific to the healthcare sector and insurance industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Lawrence + Memorial Delivery Network, Yale New Haven Health, managing all aspects of financial operations, strategic planning and investments. He received his Bachelor of Science from the United States Coast Guard Academy and Master of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary, Graduate School of Business. Seth is a decorated member of the United States Coast Guard, graduate of the Coast Guard Academy and retired Commander who served our country for 20 years in active duty and reserve assignments.
