WATERBURY, CT — The Connecticut Community Foundation (CCF) awarded $27,500 in sponsorship grants during its first round of 2014 funding for public events in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills hosted by nonprofit organizations.

CCF awards two types of sponsorship grants of up to $2,500 total to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, libraries, over-55 communities and/or senior centers that will be holding an event in CCF's 21-town service area. Sponsorships are open to agencies whose majority of programs and services take place in our service area.

CCF's Pathways for Older Adults initiative also awarded $5,200 in Lifelong Libraries sponsorship grants. Lifelong Libraries sponsorship grants encourage town libraries to host new programs and events that will connect more people age 65 and older to their library. A library may apply for up to $2,000 over the 2-year period 2013-2014 for Lifelong Libraries sponsorship grants.
