New Social Service Network to Connect Households Living Paycheck to Paycheck

The recently formed Prosperity Digital Marketplace LLC, a nonprofit subsidiary of United Way of Western Connecticut, has welcomed members to its new Innovation and Technology Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will help the organization develop new technologies that will efficiently deliver services to individuals and families who live paycheck to paycheck, while offering innovative, online solutions to better meet the specific needs of this working population. The Innovation and Technology Advisory Board Members are: Doreen Bentson, Genworth Financial; Joseph D’Allacco, AXA XL; Annmarie Jonsson, Synchrony; Leo Pellerin, United Way of Connecticut; Dr. Cory Plock, Prolifogy, Inc.; and Jeff Weinstein formerly with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In addition to providing Advisory Board Members, two companies have offered additional support: Synchrony has provided $250,000 in start up funds to help build the technology for the digital platform; and AXA XL has provided $50,000 in start up funds and ongoing support in the area of cyber security.
