Dime Foundation Awards $1,500 to Healing With Horses

NORWICH, CT— The Dime Bank Foundation has awarded $1,500 to Healing with Horses for their Equine Assisted Therapy and Activity Programs. The personalized programs are offered to clients who have cognitive and emotional disorders, trauma, addiction or anxiety. The grant will provide financial assistance to those clients who would otherwise not be able to participate due to income barriers.

Healing With Horses at Wildrose Horse Farm in Uncasville specializes in individualized therapeutic sessions with rescued abused and neglected horses. The horses are rehabilitated and trained for use in many equine assisted activities and therapy programs. Certified instructors and trained professionals provide personalized programs to meet the particular needs and goals of their clients.
