HARTFORD, CT -- Individuals and foundations in Connecticut made $4.66 billion in charitable contributions in 2013, a report from the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy finds. According to the report, Giving in Connecticut 2015 (27 pages, PDF), total giving in the state increased 0.7 percent in 2013 on a year-over-year basis; gifts from individuals excluding bequests fell 3.3 percent, to $3.3 billion; and bequests jumped 77.2 percent, to $352 million.
