NEW HAVEN — Two grants totaling $241,500 are intended to help the New Haven Public Schools support racial equity within the school district. The two William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund grants — the $141,500 Equity Transformation Grant and the $100,000 Minority Talent Development and Recruitment Grant — are designed as a response to “generations of structural racism which have prevented students and communities of color from fulfilling their potential academically, socially, and economically,” according to the fund.
