Brews to Benefit Local Children and Families

HARTFORD, CT -- United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is pleased to announce the launch of its new coffee line in partnership with Omar Coffee.

Products include:

  • United Way Aroma Roast Coffee | 100% Arabica coffee is deeply roasted for a full-bodied brew with chocolaty notes. This rich, distinctive flavor is supremely satisfying.

  • United Way Bistro Blend Coffee | 100% Arabica coffee, perfectly blended and roasted for a smooth, balanced cup, any time of day.

A portion of proceeds from the United Way-branded/Omar Coffee products will be donated to United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut to ensure that: children succeed in school; people get jobs and are financially secure; people are healthy; and, basic needs are met during tough times.

“Omar Coffee wanted to make a bigger impact in the community and collaborated with us to create ‘coffee for a cause’,” said Paula S. Gilberto, President and CEO, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. “It’s a great example of how United Way and businesses partner to raise resources needed to support success for local children and families. We’re proud to call Omar Coffee a United Way partner.”

“At Omar Coffee, we offer fair trade, organic and rainforest alliance certified coffees, keeping environment and social responsibility at the forefront,” said Nicholas Bokron, CEO, Omar Coffee. “Our partnership with United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut allows us to amplify that message and continue the Omar tradition of making every cup outstanding while doing good.”
