HARTFORD, CT -- United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut has received a $260,000 grant from Eversource.
The award was made to support United Way’s Community Campaign. Funds will be used to ensure youth success, economic mobility, access to health and basic needs services for residents in United Way’s service area.
“United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut offers crucial support to communities, children and families across the state, to help them thrive,” said Rod Powell, Eversource President of Corporate Citizenship. “Like United Way, we are committed to making a difference in the communities where we live and work, and we’re proud to continue our longstanding partnership with this wonderful non-profit organization to support their important mission.”
Over the past five years, Eversource has donated more than $1.3 million to United Way.

We also work to ensure that people have access to health services and that the immediate, emergency services, such as food and shelter, are met.”
