Giving in Connecticut - 2016

Giving in Connecticut 2016 looks at charitable giving in Connecticut for calendar year 2014 and includes individual giving through reported contributions, bequests made through estate giving, and foundation giving. Giving in Connecticut 2016 uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the IRS Statistics of income Division, the Foundation Center, and self-reported data gathered by CCP.

Connecticut Early Childhood Trauma Training Needs Assessment

Connecticut Association for Infant Mental Health (CT-AIMH) and their Early Childhood Trauma Collaborative partners are striving to increase the competency and capacity of the workforce serving infants and young children and their families to address the needs of children and families experiencing, or who have experienced trauma. In preparation for this work Lorentson Consulting was contracted to conduct a comprehensive statewide needs assessment in line with the tenets of participatory evaluation. The report was made possible by the Early Childhood Funder Collaborative, a project of the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy.

Design Principles for a New School Funding Formula in Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, CT -- A number of Connecticut’s leading education organizations -- the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE), the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS), the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS), the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now (ConnCAN), and the Connecticut Council for Education Reform (CCER) have agreed to a set of design principles for the development of a new school funding formula that supports student learning. These guiding principles were developed with Professor Ken Wong, of Brown University and with the assistance of the independent, nonpartisan Connecticut School Finance Project.
