Legal Representation for Immigrant Youth and Families (CCP webinar)

In 2018, CCP hosted a webinar, Legal Representation for Immigrant Youth: What Funders Can Do to Help, with leaders from Connecticut's three largest legal aid firms serving immigrants and refugees. The discussion centered around the critical need for legal representation for immigrant youth and families in Connecticut, particularly in light of the current federal administration's "zero tolerance" policy.

The Immigration Strategic Funders Collaborative for Connecticut (The Collaborative) is committed to enhancing statewide efforts and local work to support Connecticut’s immigrant families, workers, and students. The Collaborative seeks to continue to expand advocacy work in support of stronger protections from detention, deportation and abuse.

Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees

Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR) is a network of local, state, and national funders who seek to leverage their grantmaking to expand opportunities for and address challenges facing immigrants, refugees, and their communities. GCIR's work is guided by a fundamental belief in equal opportunity and justice, as well as a recognition that communities thrive when all of their members have the opportunity to contribute to the economic, cultural, social, and civic fabric.

Connecticut Lawyers for Immigration Justice

Connecticut Lawyers for Immigration Justice seeks to fulfill the promise of equal justice for immigrant families in the Constitution State. Organized by leaders of the bar, the fundraising campaign sends 100% of every dollar raised to Connecticut's three full-service legal aid organizations, so that they can expand their work for immigrant families and children here in our state.
