HARTFORD, CT — The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy is pleased to announce the addition of Alexis Bivens as vice president of strategic initiatives and as managing director of the Supporting Organizing Work Funders Collaborative (SOW-CT), a project supported by the Council.
The Council is hosting a special series of workshops focused on “Aligning Practices with Values.” Many funders have made commitments to equity, and we are providing programs and resources to support moving to impactful action. This workshop will help you understand core Equity concepts, definitions, and context of usage so that communicators are prepared to reference the concepts in your work across your organization.
The Funders Network's GREEN working group will be holding its annual meeting in person this fall. The meeting will take place in Hartford, Conn., from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 with site visits to both Hartford and New Haven. This event is co-sponsored by Connecticut Council for Philanthropy and the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.
