TORRINGTON, CT -- The Women & Girls Fund of the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation invites nonprofits to apply for grants. Programs eligible for grants include those that serve women and girls in the development of economic self-sufficiency by means of education, financial literacy and social services. Applicants may request up to $5,000 for programs. The application deadline is March 8, 2017.
BRISTOL, CT -- Main Street Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications from area nonprofit organizations through its competitive General Grant Cycle and the Plainville Community Fund while scholarship applications are being accepted from local students. General Grant Cycle proposals are due March 31, 2017. Plainville Community Fund proposals are due March 15, 2017. Scholarships are March 17, 2017.

HARTFORD, CT – As part of an ongoing commitment to give consumers the confidence and tools they need to be fiscally healthy, Citizens Bank has announced that nine nonprofit organizations in Connecticut will receive $62,500 in contributions as part of the Citizens Helping Citizens Manage Money financial literacy initiative.
SOUTHINGTON, CT -- Over $325,000 was awarded from the Bradley Henry Barnes & Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust to five organizations working to improve the health and wellbeing of Southington residents. The organizations, two of which received continued funding from the Barnes Memorial Trust, provide programs that enhance community wellness, support local seniors and improve access to behavioral health services.
