The Loan Servicing - Loan Servicing Representative II works under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Loan Servicing Operations; and is accountable for the data integrity of new loans imported or added to the loan servicing software, reviewing accounts and ensuring that loans are added under the correct loan type, investor, investor pool, and billing method and escrow schedules added as applicable. The Loan Servicing Representative II will review loan documents for accuracy and work with other Operations areas to resolve findings and/or document issues.

 

  1. Specific Responsibilities
  • Manages the dedicated New Loans email inbox. Tracks, and inputs new and or transferred loan data into the servicing system ensuring timely set up within the month of loan funded/transferred. Maintains electronic copies of all loan documents and related correspondence as required.
  • Performs verification reviews on data and documents for each loan ensuring accurate information added to the system.
  • Reviews and inputs escrow information on new and transferred loans, as required, which includes, but is not limited to: Insurance and taxes. Verify monthly escrow payment is set up correctly in the system.
  • Processes import events for the purpose of bringing closed and funded loans over to the servicing system, requesting additional information/documents from Lending and or Operations as required.
  • Performs research and follow-up on outstanding review findings. Report findings to investors, originators, lenders and other areas of Operations and or Lending as applicable.
  • Generates welcome letter packages as required. Retain electronic copy of the letter on the network drive(s) for each loan. Contact new borrowers by email or phone with a “Welcome Notice/Call” verifying borrower is aware of the loan information, payment options, and to validate contact information.
  • Assists with payment processing: daily payment returns items, deposit link, mailed in check payments, ACH, ACHWEB, ACHTEL, Lockbox, Vanco, reversals, and other payment and payoff related transactions; generates and maintains appropriate documentation as required.
  • Assists with the set-up of new recurring ACH’s related to new Consumer Lending loans and other loans, assists with ACH change requests, payoff requests and VOM requests.
  • Processes monthly Dept of Veteran Affairs (VA) loan reporting via the online Valeri portal.
  • Assists with any other tasks as required to ensure the daily operations and demands of C4C’s Loan Servicing Department are met.

  • Computer Software:  MS Word, Excel, Crystal report writer, Loan Servicing software
  • Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  •  Ability to use a basic calculator.
  • Financial:  Bookkeeping.
  • Communication: Must be fluent in English and have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written correspondence.
  • General: Ability to handle multiple tasks; strong aptitude for numbers; excellent analytical skills with a high-level attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills, with high degree of tact and diplomacy; excellent organizational skills; ability to handle confidential information; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; flexibility to adapt to changes in workplace priorities; resourcefulness and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum two (2) years’ work related to mortgage loan servicing or other experience working in a financial- related office. Experience with working in a team-oriented department that requires the daily operations to be fulfilled in a timely manner.
