HARTFORD, CT -- The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has awarded a two-year, $200,000 grant to enable the Hartford Consortium for Higher Education to offer its Career Beginnings program at all Hartford high schools, with the addition of New Visions High School.

NEW CANAAN, CT -- The fifth annual Camp LiveGirl brought together 130 girls from across Connecticut, including girls from as far away as the Waterbury Boys & Girls Club and the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants. The New Canaan Community Foundation, the Connecticut Community Foundation, the Grace J. Fippinger Foundation, and Refinitiv funded camp scholarships.
HARTFORD, CT -- With the support of up to $2.1 million (depending on number of students participating) from the City of Hartford (up to $1,000,000), the State of Connecticut/Connecticut Department of Labor (up to $696,000), and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving (up to $526,000), the 2019 Summer Youth Employment Learning Program will serve more than 1,000 participants in Hartford and up to 1,500 throughout the region.
CORNWALL BRIDGE, CT -- The Civic Life Project, which has successfully developed civic engagement, cross-cultural understanding, and social responsibility among high school students since 2010, has received a grant of $6,000 from The Buchanan Fund, a fund of the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation to adapt and expand its existing program for middle schools.
HARTFORD, CT -- More Greater Hartford Latino youth will have an opportunity to gain real-life job experience, thanks to a $20,000 grant to the Center for Latino Progress from the Latino Endowment Fund (LEF) at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
NORWALK, CT -- The new Sexual Violence Prevention Collaborative of Fairfield County was catalyzed by the Fund for Women and Girls, which is based at the Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF) and is the biggest women’s fund in New England. The collaborative is beginning the work with a focus on youth athletics and initial grant funding of $100,000.
