Women’s Campaign School at Yale Visits Fairfield County - Fund for Women & Girls Encourages Political Passion

GREENWICH, CT -- Earlier this month, over eighty women with a newly discovered passion for public service attended the inaugural one-day training created by the Women's Campaign School at Yale, a non-partisan, issue neutral political campaign training program for women interested in running for office and in campaign management.  The training was underwritten by a generous grant from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Fund for Women & Girls.

Community Foundation Celebrates Women at Annual Breakfast

MYSTIC, CT -- Dozens of women — and a few men — packed the ballroom of the Hilton Mystic on Friday morning for the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut's annual Celebration of Women Breakfast.  It was a chance for the Community Foundation to reflect on the programs that ran last year with financial support from its Southeast Area Women & Girls Fund, and to encourage donors to continue their support.

Aurora Foundation Announces New Executive Director

WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The Aurora Foundation for Women and Girls is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Bernhardt Steadman, Ph.D. as its new Executive Director. Steadman, who will champion Aurora’s initiatives to strengthen opportunities for women and girls in Greater Hartford, will begin in late October.
