The Chelsea Groton Foundation Makes 2nd $100K Grant to Support Global City Norwich

NORWICH, CT -- The Chelsea Groton Foundation recently presented a grant donation of $100,000 to NCDC’s Global City Norwich program, to be used specifically for assisting multicultural entrepreneurs and small business owners who are interested in occupying storefront spaces in the Downtown area, or who currently own businesses and are looking to grow.

University of Saint Joseph ArtsMentor Program Awarded Funding from National Endowment for the Arts and Richard P. Garmany Fund

WEST HARTFORD, CT -- The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) today announced that ArtsMentors, a community engagement program for underserved youth, has received $10,000 in funding support from both the National Endowment for the Arts Challenge America Program and the Richard P. Garmany Fund, a donor-advised fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Local Nonprofit Columbus House Named 2018 Bank of America Neighborhood Builder®

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Bank of America has named Columbus House as its 2018 Neighborhood Builder® grant recipient in Southern Connecticut. Columbus House was selected for its work in assisting those experiencing homelessness in the region by providing not only shelter and housing, but also by offering a comprehensive array of services designed to help people identify and overcome those issues that contributed to their homelessness.
