Regional Leaders Craft Economic Strategy for Metro Hartford

HARTFORD, CT -- The Metro Hartford Metropolitan Region has released its new strategy to achieve inclusive economic growth and strengthen its position in the global economy.This strategy represents the collective efforts of The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), in partnership with the MetroHartford Alliance (MHA) and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving as well as a wide variety of local stakeholders to rally the region around a focused and actionable set of goals and strategies for economic development.

Winsted's American Mural Project Receives Grants

WINSTED, CT -- The American Mural Project recently received grants from the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation, and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development/Office of the Arts, for education and renovations at the project in Winsted.

Naugatuck YMCA Receives Boost for Roof Project

NAUGATUCK, CT -- Liberty Bank Foundation, Ion Bank Foundation, People’s United Bank and Connecticut Community Foundation awarded the YMCA grants totaling $45,000 to repair its roof. These funds are part of a match to the state Department of Economic and Community Development's $50,000 historic preservation grant.
