Over the past five years, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has provided nearly $1 million in grants to encourage greater civic engagement and increase voter participation across Greater Hartford. After opening a request for proposals in January, the Foundation has awarded nearly $240,000 in grants to fourteen nonprofit organizations to support nonpartisan voter engagement activities leading up to the general election in November.
