Help After Hurricane Harvey

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

HARTFORD, CT -- Hurricane Harvey disaster relief efforts continue in Texas and Louisiana as preparations are underway in Florida in anticipation of Hurricane Irma.

Our condolences to those who have lost loved ones and our appreciation to the relief workers who are assisting residents in the affected areas.

Thank you also to those who have made a financial contribution.

As of September 6, the United Way Network has raised more than $25.44 million for mid- and long-term recovery efforts related to Hurricane Harvey.

This includes money donated to the national fund and to funds set up by local United Ways.

100% of individual donations given to the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund will be distributed to local United Ways in the affected areas.

United Ways in the affected areas are also proud to partner with the American Red Cross, Salvation Army and many others who are helping with immediate relief and evacuations.

We encourage you to consider support for the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund and other relief efforts as an addition to your local charitable giving.

For information on local efforts visit the Texas 2-1-1 website http://www.211texas.org/ or dial 2-1-1 from anywhere in Texas. For individuals outside of Texas, dial 877-541-7905.
