Welcome Megan Brown!

Megan Brown recently joined the staff at the Community Foundation as Vice President. Megan comes to us from Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA), where she was the Chief Operations Officer and led a team responsible for 28 programs and a budget of over $40 million. At TVCCA, Megan was deeply involved in understanding and addressing the causes and conditions of poverty in Southeastern CT and played a pivotal role in re-crafting the agency’s mission to address systemic barriers that cause poverty. Prior to that, she was part of the senior team at Mystic Aquarium, focused on fundraising and development, including managing a $25 million capital campaign. Megan has decades of experience in the nonprofit space as a strategic thinker, fund raiser, and operational executive. 

Megan received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Connecticut and Masters in Public Administration at University of New Haven. She is a member of the coordinating team for the Health Improvement Collaborative of Southeastern Connecticut and former board chair of Operation Fuel.

Megan was born and raised in New London and now calls Montville home.
